MILWAUKEE – Today, Racine Firefighters Local 321 announced their support for David Crowley’s campaign for governor.
“David Crowley has a proven ability to bring people together to get things done for our communities,” said President Jose Carbajal. “From leading the charge for shared revenue changes at the state level so cities and towns can invest in public health and safety, to directing opioid settlement dollars into prevention, treatment, and abatement programs, he has shown he knows how to secure needed resources and turn them into results for the people who need them the most.”
“And he’s done so without abandoning his commitment to supporting union labor and good-paying, family-sustaining jobs,” Carbajal continued. “Wisconsin needs a governor who understands that public health and safety are top priorities and who has the experience and record to tackle these challenges head-on. That is why the members of Local 321 are proud to support David Crowley as Wisconsin’s next governor.”
David Crowley was first elected Milwaukee County Executive in 2020 and re-elected in 2024 with over 84% of the vote. As the leader of Wisconsin’s largest county, representing nearly one million residents, Crowley has balanced billion-dollar budgets, delivered the largest property tax cut in county history, expanded affordable housing, invested in small businesses, modernized public health, reduced opioid deaths by 30%, and led the effort to secure Act 12 — the most significant bipartisan local revenue reform in decades.
Crowley is the only candidate in the race with both legislative experience and experience actually running a government, and he is running to bring his results-driven approach to all of Wisconsin. The Democratic Primary for Governor will be held on August 11, 2026. More information about David Crowley and his campaign can be found at CrowleyforWI.com.
