Making matters worse, Donald Trump is now threatening to impose 250% tariffs on pharmaceutical imports, a move expected to drastically increase the cost of essential medications — and Van Orden and Steil are standing by without objection.
Meanwhile, parents are starting back-to-school shopping early amid fears that tariffs will raise prices on supplies and the overwhelming majority of Americans are stressed about the rising cost of groceries.
As families scramble to get by, Van Orden and Steil’s big accomplishment was voting to rip away health care and food assistance from tens of thousands of their own constituents.
