MADISON, Wis. – Attorney General Josh Kaul issued the following statement following oral arguments in the birthright citizenship case before the U.S. Supreme Court brought by AG Kaul and a coalition of state attorneys general.
“It’s clear as day that President Trump’s attack on birthright citizenship is unconstitutional. In fact, his attempt to undermine this right is at odds with Supreme Court precedent that has stood for over a century. I am confident that, at the end of this case, birthright citizenship will remain in place.”
