MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) encourages media to use these video and image assets in any media coverage for the upcoming 2025 deer hunting season. Please credit all assets to Wisconsin DNR.
Hunters have their first chance to pursue deer this fall starting Sept. 13 with the opening of archery and crossbow seasons across the state.
Deer hunters are required to wear blaze orange or pink while afield whenever a gun season is open. Please use images only depicting hunters wearing blaze orange between Oct. 4, 2025 and Jan. 1, 2026.
Wisconsin is a nationally recognized state for white-tailed deer hunting with a reputation for producing some of the largest bucks in the world, along with ample opportunity for success.
