MADISON, Wis. – With thousands of residents and visitors expected to enjoy Wisconsin’s lakes and rivers this Labor Day weekend, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) urges all to make safety a top priority.
So far in 2025, 12 boating fatalities have occurred. In many cases, a life jacket was not worn.
