US 51 construction project in McFarland scheduled to begin March 3
Work to replacement the pavement along US 51 between Larson Beach Road and Terminal Drive in McFarland, Dane County, is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 3, 2025. Other improvements include reconstruction of the US 51 southbound bridge over Taylor Road, addition of an auxiliary lane along US 51 north of Siggelkow Road and roundabout construction at the Siggelkow ramp terminals.
US 51 will be constructed in stages. During stage one motorists can expect to encounter US 51 northbound median and shoulder closures.
Construction is currently scheduled for completion in November 2025. The construction schedule is based on favorable weather conditions and construction status.
