GREEN BAY, Wis. — Farmers for Sustainable Food today announced the promotion of Jamie Fisher to Managing Director.

Fisher joined the organization in 2019 and has helped lead support for farmer-led watershed groups throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. She’s played a pivotal role in executing various sustainability projects, including assisting farmers in documenting and understanding their on-farm environmental outcomes.

As managing director, Fisher will expand her leadership and oversight of the organization’s vision and sustainability initiatives. She will continue to support collaboration with farmers, members and other partners in sustainable agriculture.

“I’m honored to step into this position and continue working with farmers who are leading the way in sustainable agriculture,” Fisher said. “I’m excited to help grow our impact and provide farmers with the tools and resources they need to continue finding solutions to today’s environmental challenges.”

Fisher’s advancement comes after the previous FSF Managing Director, Lauren Brey, takes on the role of Chief Experience Officer for the Voice of Milk, a multi-state collaboration committed to amplifying the voice of dairy farmers. Current member organizations include Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative, Dairy Business Association and Minnesota Milk Producers Association.

“I have had the privilege of working with Jamie since she joined FSF,” Brey said. “I’m confident in her ability to lead FSF into its next chapter, empowering farmers, collaborating within the sustainable farming community and driving meaningful change.”
