Franklin, WI – Forward Latino, a national non-profit, non-partisan service and advocacy organization headquartered in Franklin, Wisconsin and with affiliates and members in Wisconsin, California and twenty-seven states other states throughout the country, calls for the immediate removal of DSH Secretary Kristi Noem from her position following the physical assault of U.S. Senator Alex Padilla from her agents.
Following consultations with Forward Latino’s nationwide network of members and affiliates, the National Board voted to call for the immediate removal of Secretary Kristi Noem as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Following the vote, National President Darryl Morin posted a video at www.forwardlatino.org and on Forward Latino Facebook, Instagram and YouTube social media accounts calling for her removal and the grave concerns that led to the unanimous vote to call for her removal.

“Earlier today our nation stood in horror as we saw the physical assault of U.S. Senator Alex Padilla by agents of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. The assault saw Senator Alex Padilla forcibly removed from a room, thrown to the floor, handcuffed and detained. At no time did he pose any threat and was simply there exercising his lawful right of Congressional Oversight.
Sadly, today’s attack on the Senator follows a long string of acts authorized by DHS Secretary Noem, which have been found by the courts to be simply unconstitutional. This is in addition to at least one instance in which her department was found to have openly and deliberately defied a court order. And of course, we are all aware of the public statement she issued
accusing a Wisconsin immigrant of threatening the life of the President of the United States, a fact her own department now admitted it knew at the time to be false
One only needs to look at the news to see that under her leadership, she has done more to hurt the public safety of the United States than to help.
That is why after conferring with our nationwide network of members and affiliates, earlier today our national board of directors voted unanimously to call for the immediate removal of Kristi Noem from the position of Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. We do not take this action lightly. In fact, it’s the first time in our organization’s proud history that
we felt compelled to take such action.
As a non-partisan organization with members and affiliates across 29 states, Forward Latino will continue to vigorously defend the Constitution and the right it assures every individual within its borders.
