Franklin, WI – Forward Latino, a non-partisan, non-profit service and advocacy organization with members and affiliates across twenty-nine states issued the following statement following vandalism in the Little Village Neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois this weekend.

Statement by National President Darryl Morin:

“Forward Latino is outraged by the hateful vandalism that defaced buildings in Chicago’s historic Little Village neighborhood. The swastikas and bigoted graffiti are not mere acts of intimidation; they are symptoms of a deeper sickness fueled by beliefs in white supremacy and hate.

They will not succeed. These symbols stand in direct opposition to our nation’s foundational principles of equality, freedom, and justice. We call on all true Americans to remain vigilant against those who have turned their backs on the Lord’s teachings and who have embraced the darkness of hate.

Forward Latino stands in unwavering solidarity with our Latino community and demands swift accountability. The perpetrators of these acts must be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
