Attorney General Josh Kaul today blasted the Trump administration for “extremism,” telling fellow Democrats that Donald Trump is “attacking the fundamental values on which this country was founded.”
“The values that have made us the most successful country in the history of the world – those values are under attack from Donald Trump,” Kaul told the state Dem Party convention.
Kaul also noted he’s involved in 19 different multi-state lawsuits challenging Trump administration actions.
“I could not be prouder to be fighting back against the Trump administration,” he said.

Kaul also praised recent Dem victories, such as the return of absentee ballot drop boxes and abortion access in Wisconsin, elections with “fair maps,” and resounding victories in the spring election, including Justice-elect Susan Crawford’s successful campaign.
“The elections that we’ve had in springs recently have gone so well — this is true — that Derrick Van Orden called for eliminating spring elections altogether,” Kaul said, referencing comments by the Prairie du Chien Republican following Crawford’s victory.
