Madison, WI – Today, Brittany Kinser, Candidate for DPI Superintendent, released her campaign priorities across multiple digital platforms including her new website, video, and multiple social media channels.
Brittany’s campaign priorities center around restoring high academic standards for Wisconsin kids and are informed by over 25 years of experience as a former special education teacher, award-winning public school principal, and literacy consultant.
“Only three out of ten students in Wisconsin are college and career ready – 32% is too little! Our kids deserve so much better. We must restore high standards and focus on reading, writing, and math to ensure every child can get a meaningful job, attend college, or master a trade,” stated Kinser.
Brittany’s campaign platform includes the following key priorities:
- Restore high standards for Wisconsin kids
- Refocus on teaching reading, writing, and math
- Partner with parents to champion their child’s education
- Ensure funding reaches the classroom and rewards good teachers
- Drive transparency, predictability and innovation at DPI
“I am excited to share more details about my campaign so voters can appreciate the clear contrast between me and the other candidates. Our grassroots effort to demand the best education possible for Wisconsin children is growing daily,” stated Kinser.
Last week, Brittany Kinser submitted nomination papers containing well over 4,000 signatures, more than any other candidate in this race. Her ballot status was approved on Friday, January 10, 2025. A primary election will be held on February 18, 2025. The top two candidates will advance to the April 1, 2025 spring election.
