The La Crosse County Democratic Party is shocked that Vice President JD Vance would travel to La Crosse in order to campaign about the One, Big Beautiful Bill for Billionaires since that bill is going to cause so much direct harm to La Crosse County and Western Wisconsin.
The law VP Vance is campaigning on will force 30,000 people in the 3rd CD to lose their health care, and many more to see their health insurance costs rise dramatically. Infrastructure projects have been cut, green energy workers have been laid off and schools and municipalities face cuts in grant programs designed to help the citizens of La Crosse.
All of these cuts in services were made in order to grant billionaires a massive tax cut. And La Crosse County does not have even one billionaire. We will have to deal with the harm of this law while no one in the country reaps any rewards from it at all.
The La Crosse County Democratic Party will be on hand to protest Vice President Vance’s arrival and to remind every citizen of Western Wisconsin of the terrible price of the Big, Beautiful Bill for Billionaires.
