Janesville, WI — The Capital Area Libertarian Party invites the public to a fun and informative evening on Saturday, October 25th at 6:30 PM in downtown Janesville. The event, titled “Backyard S’mores & Candidates Night,” will combine a cozy fall gathering with a hands-on introduction to running for public office in Wisconsin.

Attendees will enjoy complimentary s’mores, hot chili, and beverages, while engaging in casual conversation about local liberty issues and learning what it takes to appear on the ballot in 2026. The event is family-friendly, free to attend, and open to the public.

Highlights Include:

  • A brief Candidates Workshop covering how to run for office, navigate ballot access, and get involved with the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin
  • Fire pit s’mores, food, drinks, and camaraderie with fellow liberty-minded individuals
  • A Zoom link will be provided for those unable to attend in person

“This event is a perfect blend of fun and purpose,” said a spokesperson for the Capital Area LP. “Whether you’re interested in running for office or just want to learn more about what we stand for, this is a great way to get involved.”
