A protest is scheduled for Sunday, June 15 at 5:30 pm at Red Arrow Park
MILWAUKEE (Jun. 13, 2025) – This morning the Milwaukee Anti-war Committee announced a Hands Off Iran protest scheduled for Sunday, June 15 at 5:30 pm at Red Arrow Park. The protest is in response to Israel launching strikes against Iran on June 12. The Milwaukee Anti-war Committee released the following statement:
The Milwaukee Anti-war Committee (MAC) condemns the Israeli strikes on Iran. These unprecedented attacks are part of Israel’s genocidal campaigns for those who stand in solidarity with Palestine and the countries that are part of the axis of resistance – now Iran.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio claims that the U.S. had nothing to do with these attacks, but we know that’s a lie. For the past 20 months, we’ve seen the U.S. government unwaveringly provide financial support and weapons to Israel.
This morning, Trump blatantly expressed U.S. support for Israel, calling the strikes on Iran “very successful.” The escalating aggression by the U.S. and Israel is not only provoking a wider war in the Middle East but is clear retaliation for Iran’s support for Palestine.
Just as Iran has supported the Palestinian resistance, we too must stand in solidarity with Iran. We oppose any U.S. intervention in the Middle East.
While the world’s attention is on Iran, we will not forget the ongoing and worsening conditions in Gaza.
