Milwaukee, WI – The Milwaukee Anti-war Committee will hold a rally, “No More Bombs. No More Lies. Hands Off Gaza!”, on Monday October 20th at 5:30PM at Cathedral Square Park, 520 E Wells St. The demonstration will bring community members together to condemn Israel’s recent breach of the tenuous ceasefire and demand liberation for Palestine.
Today’s bombings and subsequent “ceasefire” are part of a long pattern of brutality against the Palestinian people. Ceasefires that can be paused are nothing but cover for ongoing collective punishment. Every bomb dropped and every minute without humanitarian access deepens the crisis in Gaza, marked by famine, mass displacement, and destroyed infrastructure.
MAC’s Demands:
- End all U.S Aid to Israel! The U.S government funnels billions of dollars every year to Israel’s apartheid regime. We demand an immediate end to all military, economic, and political support for Israel’s occupation and genocide.
- Liberation to the Palestinian Resistance! We stand with the Palestinian people in their right to resist occupation and reclaim their land, homes, and sovereignty.
- A real and permanent ceasefire! A “ceasefire” that allows bombings, blockades, and starvation is not real, it’s continued colonial violence. We demand a real, permanent ceasefire that includes an end to the siege on Gaza, full humanitarian access, withdrawal of Israeli forces, and freedom for all political prisoners. Anything less is complicity in genocide.
Speakers from various community organizations will address the crowd, drawing connections between [depends on speakers]. The program will include chanting, speeches, and a short march following the rally.
