U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore celebrated the wins of Wisconsin Democrats and encouraged party activists not to succumb to fear of President Donald Trump’s “reign of terror.”

“Despite the reign of terror the Trump administration has imposed on our land, we’ve seen the pushback of communities big and small,” the Milwaukee Dem told the Dem state convention today.

Moore pointed to the “No Kings” protests happening around the country today, saying people are organizing against the president’s policies.

Moore said it’s been “miraculous to behold” the work of outgoing chair Ben Wikler to map out a path to year-round organizing and to “cobble together” Democrats for donations.

“The reality is that Chair Wikler is leaving the Dems in doggone good shape,” Moore said.

She also celebrated the convention’s theme of the “road to 2026” because she doesn’t want to recap the “disastrous” consequences of 2024 leading to Trump in the White House.

Moore added the Wisconsin now has fair statewide legislative maps and celebrated lawsuits to redraw the Congressional maps.

Moore also celebrated the April 1 election in Wisconsin, which she said knocked down the “April fool” Elon Musk. She encouraged attendees to keep fighting to win during elections next year.
