WIKLER: “Devin’s been a secret weapon at WisDems for years, working closely with me at every step. As chair, he’ll take the party to new heights.“
REEDSBURG, Wis. – Current WisDems Chair Ben Wikler has endorsed Devin Remiker to lead and grow the party after his term ends. Wikler joins former Party Chairs Martha Laning and Martha Love, legislative Democratic Leaders Senator Dianne Hesselbein and Representative Greta Neubauer, and dozens of party leaders and activists in backing Remiker’s bid for WisDems chair.
“It’s been the honor of my career to lead the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. There’s no doubt in my mind that our hard-fought victories and the progress we’ve made over the past several years wouldn’t have been possible without Devin Remiker,” said WisDems Chair Ben Wiker. “Devin understands better than anyone what it takes to organize, secure resources, support Democrats up and down the ballot, and empower county parties and activists with the tools they need to succeed. In 2026, Democrats are ready to fight back and win. Devin is the best candidate to hit the ground running, build on our success, and lead Wisconsin Democrats forward.”
Wikler posted a letter endorsing Devin, with ten arguments for his candidacy, here.
“Ben Wikler has been a tremendous leader for our party, building on the foundation that Martha Laning and so many Democrats worked tirelessly to create. I’ve had the opportunity to see Ben’s work up close and partner with him on some of the toughest challenges to protect our democracy, strengthen the rights of Wisconsinites, and elect Democrats at all levels,” said Devin Remiker. “Ben is leaving behind a state party that’s hungry, prepared, and focused on the big races we must win in 2026. I’m honored to have his support and trust to lead the party forward.”
Over the past decade, Devin has been at the center of the majority of recent successful Democratic political fights in Wisconsin. He has previously served as the party’s political director and as executive director during key victories from 2018–2022. Currently, he is a senior advisor to WisDems and led the party’s successful People v. Musk campaign which generated a flood of grassroots pushback and earned media attention to combat Elon Musk’s attempt to buy the 2025 state Supreme Court race. Devin has worked directly to support Democratic campaigns across the state and understands how the party can build on successes, learn from mistakes, and build a party that’s more effective and collaborative.
Delegates to the WisDems state convention will choose party officers at the State Convention, June 14-15 in the Wisconsin Dells.
