Madison, WI – The Wisconsin State Assembly today voted on party lines 51-44 on legislation mandating state workers to return to state agency offices. 2025 Assembly Bill 39 requires state employees to perform at least 80% of their required work hours in person. The bill exempts duties normally performed off-site before March 1, 2020, when the COVID pandemic began.
