MADISON, Wis – Representative Clinton Anderson (D – Beloit) has introduced a bipartisan joint assembly resolution with Senator Andre Jacque (R- De Pere), Senator Mark Spreitzer (D – Beloit), and Representative Dave Maxey  (R – New Berlin) regarding the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. This legislation would give Wisconsin personnel who received the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal the opportunity to receive a special registration plate for motor vehicles to showcase their service to the country and their counter terrorism efforts. Representative Anderson offered the following statement.

“I have many veterans in my district, especially those who received the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. One of these veteran constituents, Daniel McKearn, reached out to my office with this idea and I was glad to start working on it. While there is no way we can fully pay back our men and women in uniform for their service to this country, I believe this legislation is a small way we can recognize their efforts and thank them for the freedoms we all enjoy.”
