MADISON, Wis. – Today, Rep. Deb Andraca (D – Whitefish Bay) attended Governor Tony Evers’ 2025 State of the State Address, where he outlined his vision and priorities for the upcoming legislative session.
The Governor’s address highlighted how he, along with legislative Democrats, have a plan to help make life easier for Wisconsin’s kids, families, and seniors. It also notably included a comprehensive gun violence prevention plan to keep our families and communities safe.
Rep. Andraca released the following statement regarding the address:
“I applaud Governor Tony Evers for the work his administration has done, and will continue to do, for making communities all across our state safer, smarter, and healthier. Wisconsin Democrats will continue to stand with him to uplift policies that support our families, and I look forward to fighting for these efforts in his upcoming budget as a member of the Joint Finance Committee.
“I am especially grateful for the Governor’s announcement that his budget will include significant investments to keep our friends, families, and communities safe through comprehensive gun violence policies. As a long-time gun safety advocate, I look forward to working with the Governor and my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to ensure these vital safety measures become law this session.”
