MADISON, WI – The Assembly Speaker’s Task Force on Rulemaking will be holding its final public hearing on Thursday, December 18th at the Winchester Town Hall in Winnebago County to continue hearing testimony on the rulemaking authority wielded by state bureaucrats. As the Chair of this Task Force, Representative Brent Jacobson (R – Mosinee) released the following statement:
“With the legislature being stripped of its oversight over rulemaking, unelected bureaucrats are free to pass rules and regulations without any meaningful input by the people affected by those regulations, or their representatives,” said Rep. Jacobson. “In our last two public hearings, the task force has heard the concerns of farmers, builders, and other drivers of our economy. As we move into our final public hearing, I look forward to continuing this conversation about the need for transparency, accountability, and consistency in the rulemaking process.”
