Madison – Today, Representatives Lindee Brill (R-Sheboygan Falls), Chuck Wichgers (R-Muskego), Jim Piwowarczyk (R-Hubertus), Dave Maxey (R-New Berlin), Elijah Behnke (R-Town of Chase), Joy Goeben (R-Hobart), Scott Allen (R-Waukesha), and Duke Tucker (R-Grantsburg) began circulating an election integrity bill which would restore the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s legally sound decision in Teigen v. Wisconsin Elections Commission (2022) outlawing the use of ballot drop boxes in Wisconsin elections. Representative Brill provided the following explanation:
“In a time when voter confidence in the integrity of our elections is at an all time low, this is simple legislation to improve security for our elections and confidence from Wisconsin voters. I would like to thank President Trump for his leadership on this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
