[Madison, WI] – This afternoon new and returning state legislators were inaugurated for the 107th Session of the Wisconsin State Legislature. State Representative Calvin Callahan (R-Tomahawk) released the following statement following his inauguration:
“I am honored to begin my third term in the Wisconsin State Assembly and continue serving as the representative for the 35th Assembly District. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my friends and neighbors for entrusting me once again to be your voice down in Madison.
“As we move forward, I am committed to addressing the issues that matter most to our community. This session, I will continue to promote policies that support small businesses and encourage investment in the local economy, prioritize our local law enforcement and initiatives, and fight to keep your taxes low, all while listening to your thoughts and concerns and making our community a place where we can live, work, and raise your families.
“This session presents new opportunities, as well as challenges, as we advocate for the needs of our district. However, I am optimistic about what we can achieve. I look forward to collaborating with my legislative colleagues to craft policy that will benefit the people of the Northwoods and the rest of our state.
“Again, thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office anytime. Together, we can build a better Wisconsin.”
