Madison, WI– Following Governor Evers’ State of the State address, Representative Alex Dallman (R–Markesan) released the following statement:
“While I respect our governor’s constitutional duty to provide an overview of Wisconsin’s trajectory, I remain focused on our Republican values and the priorities that matter most to my constituents. We have key issues to tackle in the coming legislative session—improving our education system, combating runaway inflation, and collaborating with the Trump Administration to address the serious threat posed by criminal illegal aliens.
Better Education for Wisconsin Families
Every child in Wisconsin deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of ZIP code. We must provide our school districts, teachers, and parents with the tools they need to succeed. I will continue advocating for educational reforms that prioritize accountability and excellence, ensuring students receive the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in our evolving economy.
Addressing Criminal Illegal Aliens
We must call them what they are: criminal illegal aliens. Our communities deserve to feel safe, and I look forward to working closely with the Trump Administration on stronger enforcement measures that protect law-abiding citizens, uphold the rule of law, and ensure that those who break our immigration laws and commit crimes are held accountable.
Fighting Inflation
Inflation continues to impact households, particularly working families and seniors on fixed incomes. We can no longer ignore the rising costs of every day goods and services. By championing responsible fiscal policy, reducing state government overreach, and encouraging pro-business initiatives, we will help stabilize prices and keep more money in Wisconsinites’ pockets.
I am optimistic about the next two years and stand ready to help the Trump Administration implement robust policies that will benefit Wisconsin and the nation as a whole. Moving forward, I am committed to working with my colleagues in the Legislature on common-sense solutions that strengthen our state’s economy, secure our communities, and uphold our shared values.”
