Presses Sen. Roys to Quit Misleading Women and Support AB 546/SB 553
Madison – Rep. Joy Goeben (R-Hobart) invited Democrat Senator Kelda Roys to quit playing politics and actually help women, instead of continuing the partisan fear mongering and false narrative. She shared the following statement:
“It’s time for Senator Roys to quit playing politics, stop pushing a false and fear-based narrative, and come clean about what’s really happening: Democrats are using misinformation to convince women that routine medical care is at risk when it simply isn’t. I am already leading the charge to fix the problem created by the Democrat narrative by introducing legislation that clearly distinguishes legitimate medical care, including miscarriage management and care for pregnancy complications, from elective abortion. My legislation would ensure women receive the treatment they need without confusion or delay. Instead of stoking fear, we should be honest with the public: the law already protects necessary medical care, and my legislation makes those protections even clearer.
“I invite Senator Roys to be honest, take responsibility for the fear she has had a hand in stoking, and step up to be a true leader for our state by supporting AB 546/SB 553 to provide clarity and peace of mind for the women in our state.”
