MADISON – Today, Governor Tony Evers delivered his 2025-27 Biennial Budget Message. Representative Jenna Jacobson (D-Oregon) issued the following response to his address:

“Governor Evers sent us a strong vision for our priorities in Wisconsin: taking care of our kids, investing in education, and reducing the property tax burden for Wisconsinites. We need to support the Governor’s plan to give our kids healthy meals and clean drinking water at school, and make sure they have access to comprehensive mental health services. These are common sense issues, and we owe it to our kids to support these initiatives.

“Governor Evers’ offers a bold plan to provide nearly $2 billion in tax relief by eliminating sales tax on many everyday costs and by cutting income taxes for middle-class people. He is addressing the rising everyday costs while proposing investments in our kids.

“I look forward to listening to my constituents on their budget priorities during my upcoming listening sessions.”
