MADISON – This evening, Governor Tony Evers delivered his seventh State of the State address to a joint session of the Wisconsin State Legislature. The Governor highlighted his administration’s efforts to support Wisconsin’s workforce and economy.
Representative Alex Joers (D-Waunakee) released the following statement:
“I am grateful for Governor Evers’ leadership in guiding our state towards a more secure future. Tonight, he shared his vision for Wisconsin centered on making people’s lives better by pursuing responsible investments and passing common sense policies that a majority of Wisconsinites support.
“It is vital that we make child care more accessible for families, invest in our public schools, and take steps to reduce gun violence in our communities. As we look towards the coming session, I look forward to joining Governor Evers in the effort to create a better Wisconsin for the next generation.”
