(Madison) – Today in the Assembly, Rep. Scott Krug joined his colleagues to pass common sense reforms that protect choices for consumers and businesses in Wisconsin. Rep. Krug issued the following statement:
“Our job in the Legislature is to put the people of Wisconsin first. This week in the Assembly, we passed protections against bans on gas-powered vehicles and equipment. Whether someone wants to buy a gas-powered or electric car, run their lawnmower on gasoline or electricity, that is their decision. Local governments should not be banning or preventing families and businesses from exercising that choice.
“Additionally, we passed reforms that will allow the operation of “cigar lounges” or “cigar bars” in Wisconsin. Currently law arbitrarily prevents the creation of new establishments of this type. The bill we passed fixes that. This will allow new small business opportunities for Wisconsinites, help economic growth, and provide new choices across the state.”
