Madison, WI—RepresentativeDave Maxey (R-New Berlin) was sworn in today at the State Capitol as the State Representative for the 83rd Assembly District for his second term.

“I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to return as your state representative for another term,” Representative Maxey said. “My commitment to supporting and empowering the people of Waukesha County remains clear. I want to ensure our district continues to be a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”

The 83rd Assembly District includes the communities of New Berlin, Waukesha, and Muskego, all within Waukesha County. During the 2025-26 Legislative Session, Representative Maxey will serve as the Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections.

“I will be a strong advocate for common-sense, practical policies that help build voter confidence in our elections,” Representative Maxey said. “It is an honor to lead this critical committee and continue strengthening the integrity of our election system.”
