MADISON, Wisconsin — Today, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Representative Renuka Mayadev (AD-77, Madison) released the following statement:
“It is very disturbing to hear that Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested this morning in what appears on its face to be a gross overreach by the Trump administration into Wisconsin’s system of justice.
Judge Dugan is a sitting judge. We should be given a full explanation on why Judge Dugan was arrested. The rule of law and our independent judiciary is the foundation on which our democracy rests and they must be respected.”
