Madison, WI — I am honored to have been selected by Speaker Vos to serve on the Speaker’s Task Force on Elder Services. Here in Wisconsin’s 22nd Assembly District, we are blessed with a vibrant and growing senior population that has given so much to our communities. It is our responsibility to ensure that older Wisconsinites can continue to live healthy, safe, and independent lives with the dignity they deserve.
This task force will focus on the challenges that many seniors face, from maintaining independence in their homes, combating loneliness and social isolation, to protecting their physical health and financial security. We will also work to strengthen safeguards against elder abuse, both physical and financial, and identify practical solutions to help families and caregivers support their loved ones.
Our work will include a careful review of current programs and services, with the goal of identifying what government can do better to improve efficiency, outcomes, and engagement. Speaking directly with seniors, caregivers, and service providers, will bring forward meaningful policy recommendations that will address the actual needs of our aging population.
I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues on this task force to ensure that Wisconsin remains a state where our seniors are valued, protected, and supported in every stage of life.
