MADISON, Wis. — On Thursday, September 4th, Legislative Democrats introduced the “Build A Stronger Wisconsin” package to strengthen Wisconsin’s middle class and unions. The package would restore the prevailing wage, repeal the so-called “Right-to-Work” law, reinstate the ability to use project labor agreements, and address worker misclassification. After the introduction, Assembly Democratic Leader Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) released the following statement:

“Unions and the middle class built Wisconsin from the ground up. But now, rising costs, the widening financial divide, and the Trump Administration’s chaos threaten working families’ livelihoods and our economy. It’s time to take action to protect Wisconsin’s working families.

“We know that unions support all workers by raising wages, setting workplace safety standards, and improving worker protections. That’s why every member of the Democratic caucuses is united in our push to strengthen the middle class, empower unions, and build a stronger economy for everyone in Wisconsin.”
