Madison – Today, State Representative Adam Neylon (R-Pewaukee) joined Assembly Republicans to approve a slate of bills designed to address Wisconsin’s growing housing crisis by increasing the supply of affordable homes and streamlining development processes. The legislative package expands the use of Tax Increment Districts (TIDs) to support workforce housing, reinvesting new tax revenue into local infrastructure like roads and sewers. It also improves transparency between developers and local governments by simplifying the permitting process and reducing regulatory delays. After the package’s passage, Rep. Neylon made the following statement:

“These bills are a step toward making housing more accessible for hardworking Wisconsinites. Using proven economic tools like TIDs and cutting unnecessary red tape will help get more homes built faster. This is about making sure families across Wisconsin have a fair shot at homeownership.”
