MADISON – Representative Todd Novak (R-Dodgeville) was named to the Speaker’s Task Force on Elder Services by Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester).
The bipartisan task force will focus specifically on services that help seniors maintain independence in their own homes, encourage social interaction and community engagement to combat isolation and loneliness, prioritize physical wellbeing and financial independence, and prevent physical and financial elder abuse.
“I am glad that I have the opportunity to serve on this task force, said Novak. “I am looking forward to serving on this committee as we look to better address the struggles many elder adults are experiencing here in Wisconsin. I believe that our work on this task force can and will make a meaningful difference in the quality of life for Wisconsin seniors.”
In addition to his new role on the Speaker’s Task Force on Elder Services, Rep. Novak also serves on the Iowa County Aging and Disability Resource Center Board, and is a court appointed guardian for elder adults in southwest Wisconsin. He also previously served on the Speaker’s Task Force on Alzheimer’s and Dementia during the 2015 legislative session.
