MADISON, WI – Today, State Representative William Penterman is calling on Governor Tony Evers to correct the record after misleading Wisconsin families about gas prices.
In a social media post yesterday, Governor Evers falsely claimed that gas prices are rising, even as recent reports show they are at the lowest level in four years.
“Unfortunately, Governor Tony Evers once again shared misinformation this weekend. Gas prices have fallen significantly over the past year, not up. I am calling on Governor Tony Evers to correct the record and stop sharing blatantly false information.”
