MADISON, WI – Christian Phelps (D-Eau Claire) was officially sworn in today as the new representative for Wisconsin’s 93rd Assembly District. Friends, family, and supporters joined Representative Phelps in the State Capitol to mark the beginning of his term representing and advocating for his constituents in the Chippewa Valley.

Rep. Phelps thanked his family, friends, and constituents in the 93rd Assembly District for their support.

“I am honored to take the Oath of Office today and to have the opportunity to represent our Chippewa Valley community in the state legislature,” said Rep. Phelps. “I do so because of our hard work over the past years, standing up for our neighbors and for the public so that everyone in the Chippewa Valley can thrive.”

“From funding strong public schools, treating healthcare and housing as human rights, and expanding on Western Wisconsin’s long pro-labor tradition, we have a lot more work ahead of us. I pledge to make my Capitol office an active ally for the local movement-building it takes to turn our community’s vision into reality.”

The Wisconsin State Legislature officially begins its 107th Legislative Session (2025-2027) today. Representative Phelps will serve on the Education Committee and the Committee on Public Benefit Reform.
