Madison, WI – Rep. Treig E. Pronschinske released the following statement succeeding the passage of the biennial Wisconsin State Budget:
“Today, after months of hard work from legislators and the Joint Finance Committee the Wisconsin State Budget passed through the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate.
“Our Joint Finance Committee worked tirelessly with one another, Governor Evers, and both sides of the aisle to find a resolution to make sure we got a budget done on time. I want to commend their hard work as this process is a difficult one.
“This budget grants millions of dollars towards special education, an Agricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP), cutting taxes, childcare costs, education as a whole, our universities, and so much more.
“Governor Evers has promised to sign this budget as a part of negotiations with him. We have worked relentlessly to find a compromise and I look forward to him keeping his word. This budget works for all Wisconsinites.”
