Green Bay – State Rep. Amaad Rivera-Wagner (D-Green Bay) released this statement regarding the killing of political commentor Charlie Kirk at an event in Utah earlier today:
“Political violence is never acceptable, whether it’s against a presidential candidate, a poll worker, a State Senator, an activist, or a pundit. Disagreement should never be dangerous.
I’ve personally faced threats and harassment, and I know how damaging it is. We can’t let extreme voices tear apart the values that make our community strong.
Democracy depends on real conversations about policies that affect our lives, not fear or violence. My deepest wish is that we never lose a life to this cycle. Let’s choose healing, care, and dialogue over division.”
