MADISON, Wis. — Today, Governor Evers delivered his Biennial Budget Address to the Wisconsin state legislature. In the speech, the Governor outlined critical investments in education, childcare, housing, clean water, agriculture, infrastructure, and lowering costs in the upcoming 2025-2027 budget. 

In the address, Governor Tony Evers’ stated:

“I’m asking the Legislature to approve a budget that does what’s best for our kids at every stage, in every way, and no matter where they live in our state. In 2025 the Year of the Kid, I’m excited to be introducing the most pro-kid budget in state history.”

Representative Roe (D- Janesville) attended the budget address and released a statement afterward: 

“Budgets are a clear reflection of priorities and Gov. Evers understands what a majority of Wisconsinites need and value – that’s leadership.”

“We value our children’s futures, clean water, quality and affordable healthcare, good roads, support for our farmers, and making our cost of living affordable.”

“State, county, municipality, and town leaders have an opportunity to help every single person in our state by supporting this 2025-2027 budget.”
