MADISON, Wis. — Rep. Ann Roe (D-Janesville) was sworn in today at the State Capitol as the State Representative for the 44th Assembly District. Rep. Roe will serve on the following committees during the 2025-2026 legislative session: Assembly Committee on State Affairs, Assembly Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse Prevention, and the Joint Legislative State Supported Programs Study and Advisory Committee.
After the ceremony, Rep. Roe released the following statement:
“Today marks the beginning of my term as the State Representative for the 44th Assembly District. Thank you to the people of the City of Janesville, the Village of Footville, Town of La Prairie, Rock, Center, Porter, Plymouth, Janesville, and Harmony for putting their faith and trust in me to represent this district.”
“As a retired teacher, small business owner, and community leader I am excited to to work on our shared values and priorities in the legislature. I will work to do the most good for the most people with the resources at hand.
