MADISON, Wis – On Thursday, July 24th, Governor Tony Evers announced that after serving two terms as Wisconsin governor, he will not be seeking re-election. Representative Joe Sheehan (D-Sheboygan) released the following statement:

“I am extremely grateful for the years of service Governor Evers has given the state of Wisconsin. His love for the state and drive to do the right thing has been evident in his actions each day as governor. He has been the kind of good natured, common sense leader Wisconsin needs.

Though I have only served in the legislature for a short time, I am appreciative of his leadership. I look forward to continuing to work with him over the next 17 months. Thank you Governor Evers.”
