Madison… Today, Representative Patrick Snyder (R-Weston voted in favor of the 2025-2027 State Budget. The biennial State Budget is the most important bill passed by the Legislature each Session, it dictates state spending, taxation, and other policies every two years. After the passage of the budget, Rep. Snyder gave the following statement:
“One of the most common questions I get asked is why can’t politicians put their differences aside to do what’s right for Wisconsin. This budget does just that. I am proud to vote for a budget that responsibly funds core services across our state while delivering meaningful tax relief. Working across party lines and solving problems is what I was elected to do – and this budget is a win for all of Wisconsin”
The 2025-2027 budget:
- Reduces taxes by $1.5 billion
- Reforms and funds childcare by funding Wisconsin Shares and providing bridge payments for child care providers
- Increases funding and support for special education across Wisconsin
- Responsibly invests in transportation infrastructure
- Protects the most vulnerable by funding support for domestic violence shelters and child advocacy centers
Rep. Snyder continued:
“This budget reflects Wisconsin by providing meaningful reforms across government all while providing those services that make our State stronger both today and tomorrow.”
