MADISON, Wis. – Today, Governor Evers delivered his State of the State Address detailing the progress we have already made and how we can build upon it to deliver a better future for all Wisconsinites.
Representative Stroud (D-Ashland) released the following statement:
“I commend Governor Evers for his outstanding leadership over the past six years in working to secure the health and prosperity of Wisconsin’s children, and for continuing this commitment by declaring 2025 the “Year of the Kid”. His efforts in reducing taxes for middle-class families, cutting the state’s debt, and achieving record-low unemployment in nine counties have clearly led to significant progress. Yet, much work remains. I look forward to working with the Governor to further ease the financial burden on Wisconsinites, by making childcare, prescriptions, and housing more affordable. Solving these challenges will require collaboration across government branches and party lines to deliver real, lasting solutions.”
