Madison, WI– Representative Paul Tittl (R-Manitowoc) applauds the Wisconsin State Assembly for passage of the Emotional Support/Service Animal Protection Act.
“This bill lifts up legitimate emotional support/service animals and their owners”, said Tittl. “Passage of the legislation is a step in the right direction to fix misrepresentation.”
Tittl’s bill makes several reforms to the process of obtaining an emotional support animal, redefines “service animal”, provides businesses with resources to address emotional support/service animals, and provides penalties for misrepresentation.
The assembly passed the bill on a voice vote and will now be taken up in the senate.
