MADISON, Wis – on July 15th, House Republicans voted unanimously to block a Democratic maneuver that would force the Trump administration to release the Epstein files.

Representative Randy Udell (D-47th District) released the following statement:

“Despite President Trump’s campaign promising to provide transparency to the American people, House Republicans have just voted to block the release of the Epstein files. If the Trump administration really cared about transparency — like they claimed during the election — releasing the Epstein list would be a top priority. Instead, they are covering it up.

“Aside from promising to release the Epstein list, President Trump’s campaign promised to end foreign conflicts, to lower prices of everyday goods, and to leave funding for Medicaid and SNAP untouched. The Federal Administration has continued to break these promises by instigating and funding foreign conflicts, raising prices for American consumers through tariffs, and robbing millions of Americans of their ability to access Medicaid and SNAP by 2027.

“Americans deserve to know what is being hidden from them, and Democrats are committed to bringing forward this transparency.”
