Conservative Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel has been running a second TV ad in which the narrator says he “put pedophiles behind bars, took on criminal illegals and cartels, protected kids and seniors from abuse.”
When Schimel’s campaign announced a $1.1 million TV buy earlier this month, it touted an ad in which the Waukesha County judge and former GOP AG says “justice is my life’s work.”
AdImpact picked up the second spot, which has been in heavier rotation since the Schimel buy began. According to the ad tracking service, Schimel has $1.4 million reserved on broadcast, cable and streaming services through Feb. 3, compared to the $924,000 reserved by Crawford’s campaign. The liberal group A Better Wisconsin together has also $830,000 reserved on streaming services and digital.
Schimel says in the second ad, “Law school taught me the rights of the accused, but justice for the abused is denied all too often. I’m Brad Schimel on the state Supreme Court. I’ll apply the law equally because everyone has the right to feel safe.”
