WAUKESHA, Wisc. — At a recent meeting with the Wisconsin Counties Association, Judge Brad Schimel emphasized his commitment to impartiality. Schimel said, “The problem I see on our Wisconsin Supreme Court is we have justices wearing a jersey. If the justice system fails because it’s not objective, then one branch of our republic is gone.” Schimel’s message centered on his belief that judges and justices should follow the law, not legislate from the bench.
With nearly 35 years as a public servant, including his leadership in clearing the backlog of sexual assault kits, Judge Schimel has a proven track record of putting victims first. Schimel has earned the trust and endorsement of over 80 current and retired Wisconsin sheriffs, law enforcement associations, and public safety leaders.
Schimel’s candidacy is grounded in his belief that the court must remain impartial and focused on the rule of law. He also pledged to respect the will of the people on important issues, including abortion.
As Election Day approaches, Schimel continues to make his case to Wisconsin voters, promising to restore fairness and integrity to our state’s highest court.
