WAUKESHA, Wisc. – In a stunning new leak, Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Susan Crawford was caught soliciting changes to Wisconsin’s congressional maps for financial support. In an email first obtained by the New York Times, Susan Crawford and Democratic fundraisers participated in a briefing describing the court race as a “Chance to put two more House seats in play for 2026.” The brazenly partisan solicitation by Susan Crawford raises serious judicial ethics questions and further reveals Crawford will use the Wisconsin Supreme Court as a political weapon.
Democratic donors were invited to a fundraising briefing, described as a “Chance to put two more House seats in play for 2026,” with Susan Crawford and Ben Wikler, the Wisconsin Democratic chairman. The invitation to Susan Crawford’s appearance blatantly states, “Winning this race could also result in Democrats being able to win two additional US House seats, half the seats needed to win control of the House in 2026.”
Among those who organized the event were aides to Reid Hoffman, the billionaire Democratic donor and a robust supporter of Wisconsin Democrats. Former Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, also plans to travel to Wisconsin to campaign for Susan Crawford.
Susan Crawford is running for a nonpartisan seat, yet her blatant email to out-of-state billionaires would suggest otherwise. Susan Crawford has revealed her calculation for the Supreme Court – the people of Wisconsin deserve better from their justice system.
