WAUKESHA, Wisc. — On Tuesday, Judge Brad Schimel joined local Sheriffs and District Attorneys from Northeastern Wisconsin for a press conference to make clear Judge Schimel’s public safety record compared to Susan Crawford’s dangerous history of coddling criminals.

Judge Brad Schimel said: “There’s no support that I’m more grateful to have than law enforcement. I’m grateful to say that I have three quarters of the elected sheriffs in Wisconsin publicly endorsing my campaign. That means I have both Democrat and Republican elected sheriffs that are sitting in office now… I’ve got the endorsements of the law enforcement unions and associations in Wisconsin, meaning thousands of law enforcement officers are standing with me in this crusade to take back our Supreme Court and restore objectivity and to focus on common sense.”
Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban: “Susan Crawford has failed to keep our children, schools and communities safe. Susan Crawford is funded by George Soros, the biggest supporter of soft on crime prosecutors in America. As a judge, Susan Crawford has repeatedly delivered lenient sentences to child rapists, sexual predators and violent criminals. Her candidacy is transactional. If elected, she’ll continue to coddle and defend the most dangerous among us… I think we should vote for Brad Schimel… Let’s work together to make Wisconsin a safer place to raise your family. Our state and nation needs you.”
Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz said: “Brad will apply the law and not allow politics to play a role in his decisions. Look back at Brad’s record as a prosecutor, as an attorney general, and as a circuit court judge, and you’ll have a clear understanding of where he stands and how he will rule as our next justice. Take it from a four-term sheriff: Brad Schimel is the right choice for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.”
Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski said: “Brad Schimel is in this for the betterment of our communities. I fully support Brad Schimel and it is going to be an honor to work alongside him, as it had been in the past. It continues to be an honor to serve our communities alongside each other, in service of the victims, of communities, of those, again, that need a voice.”
Brown County District Attorney David Lasee said: “I want to thank Brad Schimel for his willingness to step forward and run for the Supreme Court at a time when we deeply need a person of his character, of his commitment, and of his competence to serve in that role. Judge Schimel is a perfect candidate for this position.”
Fond Du Lac District Attorney Eric Toney said: “What we’ve seen from Judge Crawford, from some of the reporting, is Judge Crawford coddling criminals. That is not what we want on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. We want somebody that is going to stand with the rule of law and not play politics with public safety. Unfortunately, that’s what Judge Crawford and her campaign have been doing, is playing politics with public safety… It’s beneath our Wisconsin Supreme Court. And what I’m asking people to do on Election Day is to vote, or early vote in person, and hold Judge Crawford accountable at the ballot box by voting Brad Schimel for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.”
