MADISON, Wis. — Today, the Legislative Fiscal Bureau released its revised revenue projection. State Senator Rachael Cabral-Guevara (R-Fox Crossing), a nurse practitioner and chair of the Senate Committee on Health, released the following statement:
“The new revenue projections show Wisconsinites are tightening their belts. The last thing we want to do right now is raise taxes as the governor is proposing,” said Sen. Cabral-Guevara.
“The governor’s budget would put a huge burden on Wisconsin families that are already struggling to make ends meet. The state should be adjusting as needed without burdening our families with more taxes and more unnecessary government spending. That is not compassionate or realistic,” said Sen. Cabral-Guevara.
